Caolines Lapiedra is a mining company dedicated to the extraction of red clay and the extraction and subsequent treatment of Kaolin sand obtaining Kaolin and Silica sand.

Caolines Lapiedra, situated in the region of  Los Serranos, in the province of Valencia, is currently working a mining concession in the municipality of Andilla and has another nine concessions in different municipalities in the provinces of Valencia and Cuenca reserved, as well as five research permits in the provinces of Cuenca and Teruel.

Current installations have a production capacity of 25,000 tpa of Kaolin, 160,000 tpa of sand for glass manufacturing and 600.000 tpa of red clay as well as less relevant sands.

In 2001 and in the concession currently in activity, the company has reforested 16 hectares of the exploited surface area by planting 4,500 pine and scattering grass and plant seeds to limit water erosion; For this a drip-feed irrigation system is used to assure and accelerate the development of the pines. 

In 2004 a complete renovation of the Llíria treatment plant installations for Kaolin sand tripled treatment capacity with respect to the old installations. The total investment amounted to seven million euros.
